Two people were injured after a taxi from the Flex Shuttle company crashed into a truck in the Adolfo López Mateos neighborhood of this city.

The accident occurred around 1 in the afternoon, at the intersection of 55 bis avenue and 5 South, where the driver of a gold Caravan-type truck, with UUA733K license plates from Quintana Roo, did not respect the stop sign and tried to pass the intersection. .

At that moment, the taxi from the Cozumel International Airport, Prius Hybrid type, blue and white, with license plates 06HB4E from the State of Mexico, which was circulating in the preferred lane, collided with the truck, which ended up above the windshield and against a fence of a private home.

This caused a woman who was the co-pilot to become trapped inside, while the driver of the unit managed to get out through the window of his door.For his part, the taxi operator, who was protected by the airbags, got out of the vehicle and was left lying on the pavement.

Agents of the municipal police and paramedics from a private company went to the scene, who needed the support of the firefighters to rescue the woman who was trapped inside the truck, who had to use hydraulic equipment to cut the iron.

Once released, the woman was taken to a hospital, as was the taxi driver who reported some injuries.Later, the units involved in the accident were removed from the scene.
