Mauricio Vila, governor of Yucatan, confirmed that he has already notified the State Congress that he will resign from office as of the first minute of this Thursday, the 29th.
He announced that tomorrow he will take oath as senator so that the head of the state government will be María Fritz, general secretary of the Government, who he said has accompanied him for the last 10 years.
He added that he will continue to be attentive to the last part of his six-year term, as he will be in permanent communication.
He thanked the people of Yucatan for the opportunity to serve the state and promised to continue to be attentive to the Yucatecans.
