Municipal police rescued what was preliminarily identified as a dog that was in a home located in the center of this town. The events in Seyé, Yucatán.
On Wednesday, April 3 afternoon, the man called the authorities about an animal that looked like a dog and was in poor condition.
The police arrived at the scene and caught the little animal, which had signs of malnutrition and dehydration. Then, they found out it was a coyote, not a dog. They provided the animal with water and the competent authorities were notified so that it could be transferred to a safe place for recovery. It is striking that this type of animal reaches the center of the population, so one might think that someone had it as a pet, but it was very poorly cared for, said municipal police officials.
