Cuauhtémoc Blanco Bravo is a Mexican politician and former professional soccer player who is the current Governor of Morelos under the coalition Juntos Haremos Historia. He formerly served as the municipal president of Cuernavaca, the state capital of Morelos.

And on Monday, September 11th, Cuauhtémoc Blanco, governor of Morelos, announced that he wanted to run for Mayor of Mexico City, representing AMLO’s political party Morena.

For this reason, he will ask for leave from his position and will speak with Mario Delgado, national president of the party, about his political aspirations.

He said that if he didn’t “give up on the Germans or the Italians (talking about his days a soccer player in the FIFA World Cup), much less on the applicants,” in this case Carla Brugada, Fernando Monreal and Omar García Harfuch.
