Mexico’s scientific society called the alleged extraterrestrial bodies presented by ufologist a fraud

Mexican scientists consider that the alleged extraterrestrial bodies presented by ufologist Jaime Maussan before the Lower Chamber of Congress cannot be taken seriously.

The presentation of some alleged ‘extraterrestrial’ bodies in Mexico City -first before legislators at the Mexican Congress building of San Lázaro, and then in front of journalists in a press conference- has unleashed all kinds of comments, including mockery and discrediting.

Scientific voices on Wednesday directly qualified the alleged bodies of “non-human beings” as a fraud.

Mexican journalist and ufologist José Jaime Maussan Maussan was the master of ceremonies, both in the parliamentary chamber and later with the press, presenting two boxes containing what he called the “desiccated” bodies found in Peru in 2017 of “non-human beings that are not part of our terrestrial evolution. (SIC)”

The figures were the size of a child’s skeleton.

“If the DNA is showing us that they are not human beings and that there is nothing that resembles them in this world, that’s how we should take it; they are non-human beings, we don’t want to call them extraterrestrials because we don’t know if they come from outer space,” he said on Tuesday, September 12th, before Mexican legislators.

The finding was already questioned from its place of origin. The alleged bodies were found in the Peruvian coastal desert of Nazca – known for some enigmatic gigantic figures carved in the earth – but were never physically presented in Peru despite Maussan’s attempt to disseminate them, who only showed photos at a conference.

The Peruvian Prosecutor’s Office was forceful in 2017 in concluding, based on a report carried out by the Institute of Legal Medicine, that the figures were “manufactured dolls of recent date, which have been covered with a mixture of paper and synthetic glue to simulate the presence of skin.”

The World Committee on Mummy Studies, one of the most important organizations in the study of mummies, has rejected its validity and has described the discovery as a fraud, calling it “an irresponsible organized campaign of misinformation”, also professors of archeology from the San Luis Gonzaga University of Ica, Perú (Unica), have rejected these versions.

He also specified that “they are not the remains of ancestral aliens that they have tried to present” and that “to elaborate the internal structure of the dolls, animal bones were used, which were modified to generate a humanoid shape”.

The Mexican public university also reacted with total skepticism. Julieta Fierro, researcher at the Institute of Astronomy of the National Autonomous University of Mexico: UNAM, said that the matter “has neither feet nor head” and as a scientist, she distrusted someone who has claimed to have spoken with the Virgin of Guadalupe.

“For the National Autonomous University of Mexico this situation is very sad,” the researcher added. “There are very serious attempts by humanity to search for extraterrestrial life.”

In contrast, Maussan defends that the “non-human” beings are at least one thousand years old, stating that they were dated by the National Autonomous University of Mexico with the carbon 14 test.

The same legislator who organized the session in Congress disassociated himself from its veracity. Morena deputy Sergio Gutiérrez Luna made it clear that the Chamber neither endorses nor denies the thesis put forward and only intends to listen to “all the voices” given the relevance of the subject.

The peculiar parliamentary session -featuring the presentation of the supposed mummified bodies, and testimonies of experts from Mexico, the United States, Japan, and Brazil- took place months after a similar one was held in the United States and generated many controversial reactions.

A former U.S. Air Force intelligence officer said that his country has probably been aware of “non-human” activity since the 1930s and that the government has concealed information and programs, something the Pentagon has denied.

The study of mysterious flying objects often evokes talk of extraterrestrials, but in the United States from both the Democratic and Republican parties, lawmakers have pushed in recent years for more research.

They argue that it is a matter of national security since there has been no end to sightings of unusual objects that could be linked to Washington’s adversaries.

Mexican aviation experts also speak of paying more attention to anomalous phenomena in airspace as a matter of safety.
