

MÉRIDA, Yucatan, March 21, 2023.- This coming March 30, the State Government, through the National Employment Service, will hold the first Employment Fair 2023, which will be geared towards women, an event in which 450 vacancies will be offered, including operational, technical and professional positions with salaries of up to 18 thousand pesos.
Iraís Barón Zermeño, Undersecretary of Labor, indicated that this fair will be held in the Uxmal Room of the Siglo XXI Convention Center, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and its objective is to break the wage inequality between men and women, as well as to offer higher paying jobs.
She mentioned that this event will also include a workshop on emotional intelligence, while the Women’s Secretariat will be offering a workshop on Women and Work, and the Women’s Justice Center and the National Workers’ Housing Fund Institute (INFONAVIT) will be providing information on their services.
Itzel Falla Uribe, head of the Yucatán National Employment Service, pointed out that 28 companies from the industrial, commercial and service sectors will be participating in this Job Fair, offering employment positions such as junior programmers, operational managers, maintenance technicians, mechanics, floor salespersons, etc.
He pointed out that as part of the services that will be offered free of charge, transportation will be available from Santa Lucia Park from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and there will be a photocopy service at the Uxmal Room free of charge for those interested in printing their job applications or resumes.
