Woman arrested for sexual abuse in Kanasín, Yucatán

The State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) filed the accusation against MGCh.B. for the crime of aggravated equated sexual abuse, denounced after the events that occurred in February 2020 in the Tulipanes de Kanasín subdivision, to the detriment of a minor under 14 years of age and confidential identity, for which reason she will be under the precautionary measure of preventive detention.

After executing an arrest warrant by personnel from the Prosecutor’s Office and agents of the State Investigation Police (PEI) of the Ministry of Public Security (SSP), the defendant was presented before the Control Judge of the Second Judicial District, where the litigation prosecutors formulated the charge of the crime and then presented the evidence of criminal case 128/2022 to request that the legal situation of the accused is resolved, who agreed to define her legal status in the same hearing, for which reason the order of linkage to the process was decreed and three months were granted to close the complementary investigation.

The facts, gathered by the specialists of the Prosecutor’s Office, establish that in February 2020 the minor was at her home in the aforementioned subdivision when her neighbor invited her to her house, where together with another person who had already been prosecuted committed the crime for which they are accused.

Before the end of the hearing, this social representation presented the arguments to support the request for preventive detention justified as a precautionary measure, which was granted by the Control Judge for the entire duration of the process.
