The Peninsular State Highway Police of the Public Security Secretariat (SSP), within the framework of institutional coordination with the three levels of government, maintains surveillance in the interior of the state to address any eventuality due to the effects of Hurricane “Helene.”
The operational staff reports that calm has been maintained in the communities and the population is attentive to the warnings of the authorities, particularly in municipalities in the east where the winds and rains were more intense, such as in the ports of San Felipe, Río Lagartos and El Cuyo.
It is worth mentioning that in the five interior areas the Peninsular State Highway Police will maintain the operation so that in case of any contingency, it is attended to promptly.
Among the actions to support the population is the clearing of communication routes where several trees fell along the roads.
So far, no transfer of citizens to temporary shelters has been reported.
The SSP maintains communication and coordinates with the Municipalities to attend to any emergency that may arise due to the weather conditions.
