Rockabilly Fest Cancun is preparing to celebrate its sixth edition among tufts, crinolines, tattoos, motorcycles, classic cars and, above all, a lot of rock and roll. The Rockabilly – as they define themselves – are lovers of the 50’s era and what better way to remember this period than with a festival.

With the aim that more people learn about this fun lifestyle, activities will begin this weekend. If you want to spend a fun afternoon at the beach, starting at two o’clock in the afternoon, this Saturday, September 1 at Mayan Beach Club located in Isla Mujeres, there will be a Hawaiian afternoon in the purest tiki style, where a DJ and rock bands will be performing.

On Sunday September 2 at the Palapas Park you can find exhibitions of clothing, footwear, articles of the invited bands, you can also take pictures and selfies with classic cars and retro motorcycles.

In the same way, the contest “Miss Rockabilly Fest” will be held where the girl with the best Pin Up attire of the night will receive a surprise gift. During the course of the afternoon, there will be a dance instructor who will be in charge of teaching “ jiving ” dancing steps.

Some of the invited bands are: The Rockabilly Cats (CDMX) who have performed three times in the “Vive Latino” Festival; Eddie and the Fatty (CDMX) with two appearances at the same festival, Destilados (CDMX) and Zombie Kats, among others.

On Sunday, locals and tourists will have eight hours to enjoy Rockabilly to the rhythm of the genres of surf, boggie, twist and psycho-billy… spending a weekend in pure rockabilly style!
