United Airlines cancels flights to Mérida airport for New Year’s Eve

The airline from the United States, United Airlines, canceled two direct flights for New Year’s Eve to the Mérida International Airport due to the increase in COVID-19 infections in the country

Mérida, Yucatan, (December 30, 2021).-The American airline United Airlines canceled the flights scheduled for December 30 and 31, 2021 to the Mérida International Airport, due to the increase in COVID cases registered in the North American nation, as well as a method of containing cases of the variant Omicron

The cancellation was confirmed through the FlightRadar platform, in which it appears that flight UA1426, which was destined to arrive tomorrow at the capital of Yucatán from Houston, but the legend ‘Canceled’ appears on the status bar, without letting the airline give more details.

Likewise, the exit from the Merida terminal to this city in Texas, identified as UA1427, also appears in red, and the legend of cancellation of the same; It turned out that both flights did not have enough personnel to operate, after the increase in coronavirus infections, but it has not been confirmed.
