More than 1.700 people attended the auditorium of Plaza La Isla, in north Mérida, to enjoy the work of Oaxacan singer Lila Downs, as she presented her new album titled “Al Chile”. With a majestic voice, Downs started the concert with her hit “Cariñito”.
During the event, the joy and taste that the spectators put on it stood out, since they did not stop dancing and chanting the singer’s repertoire with songs like Las Marmotas, Cumbia del Mole, Paloma Negra, La Llorona, Hanal Weech (Yucatecan song) , Urge, The paths of life, The Iguana, among others.
The artist did not stop dancing during the two hours that her concert lasted.
In the show, Lila wore a splendid purple Yucatecan dress, and was accompanied by the Folkloric Ballet “Dancing Jaguars”, who delivered a great show.
To wrap up the concert, Downs interpreted the song “Zapata se queda”, but the public asked for one last song, to which Lila came out and again sang “Cariñito”, the number one hit from her latest album.
