President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, and the director of the CFE, Manuel Bartlett, confirmed that there will be no shortage of electricity in neither both regions of the country.

The head of the CFE, Manuel Bartlett, said that the agreement of gas pipelines and its carriers will result in lower electricity costs and sufficient supply for the two peninsulas, Yucatan and Baja California, regardless of the fact that there is no shortage in the rest of the country.

WHAT IS A GAS PIPELINE?

A gas pipeline is an installation based on steel pipe that facilitates the movement of gas over long distances of thousands of kilometers, through the use of high pressure.

The official said that, thanks to favorable negotiations with private organizations dedicated to gas pipelines, more fuel will be generated, because it will facilitate access to gas, which will be brought from Texas, southern United States, at the most affordable cost for this product.

He insisted that by guaranteeing gas in the two peninsulas: Yucatan and Baja California, the electricity fee will be considerably reduced, and consequently the development of private and public companies will allow the economy of Baja California and Baja California Sur; as well as that of Campeche, Yucatan and Quintana Roo to be activated.
