Former Bolivian President Evo Morales traveled to Cuba for a medical consultation, but Mexican authorities have indicated that he is about to return and and will take important decisions “in the short term”.

The ex-president of Bolivia, Evo Morales, already has a return date to Mexico after he left the country and went to Cuba for a medical check-up, and then he will travel to Argentina; this, was confirmed by the Mexican authorities.

The undersecretary of Human Rights, Population and Migration of the cabinet of president López Obrador (AMLO) said: “Evo will return and will make decisions in the short term”.

Alejandro Encinas stressed that Evo Morales’ position is that of a political asylum seeker, not a refugee. “Morales has the possibility of having international mobility to other countries where he is welcome, so he has no restrictions on making this transit between one country and another“.

Therefore, Morales, the former president of Bolivia, will be traveling to Buenos Aires to visit Alberto Fernandez the new president of Argentina. After that, he will return once again to Mexico.
