Public projects worth millions of pesos in the works for Yucatan in 2018

The State Congress is analyzing 116 investment projects for the fiscal package of Yucatan in 2018…

MERIDA –The proposed budget stipulates the construction of the regional artisanal center of the east with an investment of $84 million pesos, the construction of the maritime retaining wall in Dzilam de Bravo for $420 million pesos, the construction of the third stage of the José María Iturralde theater in Valladolid for $15 million pesos, the construction of a new avenue to facilitate the access to the north of Caucel and the construction of the overpass crossing of Chenkú in the Periférico, for a total amount of $123 million pesos.

The initiative also considers the construction of the alternate parking for the International Congress Center with a budget of $6.5 million pesos, and in its vicinity a public square located between the Colón and Cupules avenues for $410 million pesos.

The budget establishes the conclusion of the new Maternal and Child Hospital with an investment of $51 million pesos, the illumination of the highway junctions of the Merida-Motul road for $38 million pesos, the resurfacing of the whole Peripheral road and the construction of 12.5 kilometers of side streets and accesses for $480 million pesos.

The 2018 Budget Initiative includes the project of replacement of the Psychiatric Hospital to the model of transitional villas in Mérida for an amount of $146 million pesos, the construction of the Center for Professionalization and Training of the State for a budget of $60 million pesos, and the construction and equipment of the University of the Arts for $13 million pesos.

Likewise, it considers the sanitation and rehabilitation of final disposal sites of 13 municipalities that make up the geohydrological state reserve area, known as “cenotes ring”, for $14 million pesos.
