

The Federal Police arrested a major drug dealer on the Merida-Campeche highway who might have ties to organized crime in the state of Quintana Roo.
The subject was carrying cocaine, marijuana and traveling in a sports car with Quintana Roo license plates.
According to the authorities, the suspect leads along with his brother an important criminal group that operates in Uman, Mérida and parts of Campeche. This group allegedly moves large amounts of drugs, mostly marijuana and cocaine.

The individual was made available to the State Attorney General’s Office, as well as the confiscated illegal merchandise, and the vehicle, that is worth more than $400,000 pesos ($20,000 USD).
