Corpse with a chest wound found in Tizimín, Yucatán

The Municipal Police of Tizimín arrested two individuals after discovering the body of an elderly person in an empty lot in the Cenzontle neighborhood, located on the Mérida-Kikil stretch of the periphery.

According to preliminary information, the victim is identified as Liborio C.C., 76 years old, who had a chest wound, apparently caused by a bladed weapon. Once the discovery was confirmed, the officers cordoned off the area and notified the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) for the corresponding procedures. Members of the State Investigation Police also arrived at the scene.

For now, the investigations are ongoing, and more information is expected to be obtained about the circumstances surrounding the death of the elderly person.
