Eight injured in traffic accident… Where else? On Mérida’s Periférico

At least eight individuals were injured as a result of a traffic accident that took place on the early morning hours of Friday, August 11th, on Mérida’s Periférico

According to reports, the incident happened at kilometer seven on the mentioned route between a minibus and a cargo truck, which for unknown reasons struck the minibus on its side, causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle. The minibus veered into the central depression of the road and ultimately overturned onto its side.

All eight occupants of the minibus sustained injuries and had to be transported to a hospital for medical attention. The cargo truck’s insurance took responsibility for the damages.
