The body of a 65-year-old woman was found next to a raft in the Santa Clara neighborhood; was already in a state of decomposition
(TEMOZON, YUC. – SSP).- An elderly woman was found lying and in a state of decomposition in the backyard of her house on Monday, January 24th, in the morning in the Santa Clara neighborhood in the municipality of Temozón, Yucatán.
As it was found out, the woman had already died for at least two or three days and it was because she lived alone, that unfortunately no one had noticed her condition.
The macabre discovery was made by some neighbors, who when they went to visit her and did not get any response, lurked on the side of the house and found the scene.
The woman, with obvious signs of decomposition, was lying face up on the ground and very close to a trough.
Immediately, support was requested from the local police corporation, whose elements went to the site and confirmed that indeed, the person had already been dead for several days.
Immediately afterwards, the area was cordoned off and the presence of experts from the forensic medical service was requested.
As far as could be seen, the deceased person had no signs of any attack or blows, it was not known if she suffered from any disease or if the death was caused by a heart attack, so the staff of the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo) will take care to determine the causes of death.
Because the person lived alone, at first the authorities did not know the woman’s full name, however, it was later confirmed that it was Bartola U.C., 65 years old.
