On Friday, Febrruary 2nd, the new State Coordinator of the National Guard in Yucatán, the Chief Commissioner General of the General Staff, Ramón Guardado Sánchez, took office.
It was last November 16 when the Chamber of Senators of the Honorable Congress of the Union agreed to ratify the 230 promotions that President Andrés Manuel López Obrador issued in favor of 50 Generals, 66 Colonels, and 114 Lieutenant Colonels of the Mexican Army and Air Force.
Among them is the promotion of Ramón Guardado Sánchez to Brigadier General of the General Staff within the National Guard.
The new State Coordinator of the National Guard carried out the corresponding ceremony officially taking office on Friday, Feb. 2, in the presence of government authorities of the state.
This appointment was backed up by the secretaries of National Defense, General Luis Cresencio Sandoval, and of Security, Alfonso Durazo.
As part of his military trajectory, Ramón Guardado Sánchez was director of the Joint Peace Operations Training Center in Mexico.
