For a safe return to the classroom, the Anahuac University asks students and teaching staff to comply with sanitary measures

(MERIDA, YUC. – UAM).- This Monday, January 18th, the Anahuac Mayab University returned to face-to-face classes with the main task of keeping students, teachers and collaborators safe at all times, for which sanitary protocols were applied, among which the requirement of a recent COVID test stood out.

“They were asked for a test that does not exceed 48 hours. In agreement with several laboratories, the students were able to go to their offices to take the exams during the weekend and there was even attention here on campus”, explained Maribel Ojeda, in charge of external communication at the university.

In addition, to reinforce biosecurity and ensure that the Anáhuac Mayab is free of contagion, three modules were installed, where this Monday the 18th, more tests were being carried out.

“On Saturday we served 398 students, on Sunday, there were 432 and now we have about 300,” said Salvador González, from the DetectAtiempo Laboratory.

In this way, those who did not have a negative COVID certificate had one more opportunity to obtain it.

In addition to the routine temperature taking, there was a facial recognition for the due registration of the students, which later served for greater fluidity in the accesses and avoiding queues.

The classrooms were ventilated and sanitized between classes. In the dining areas only two people could sit per table in the entire place.

Similarly, young people were advised to use the KN95 face mask, which was for sale in case they wanted to replace the model they previously brought.
