A new sighting of a huge crocodile in the streets of Progreso went viral on social media

The video came from the Facebook account of Mario Jesús Pech, who claims that he recorded the saurian on Wednesday, April 10 at night, while it entered Progreso on 74th Street.

The animal was walking from North to South on 74th Street and turned left on 41st Street. It was just half a block from the Ecological Park, in the area known as “La Draguita.”

The fact did not go unnoticed by Internet users, who were surprised by what happened and expressed concern and admiration for the animal.

This is the third case this year of crocodile sightings in residential areas of Progreso, the first was recorded on 44th and 37th Street, where this specimen is frequently sighted. The second case was at the Progreso Sports Unit, where one of these animals was seen on the side of one of the entrances to the sports field, on 46th Street.
