Yucatan Civil Protection reported that Tropical Storm Sean has formed, and while it does not pose any danger to the state, it is being monitored to track its path.
Until a few hours ago, it was still a Tropical Depression 19, which has now reached the status of a Tropical Storm.
Currently, it is located over 6,000 kilometers away from Yucatan and is moving west-northwest with winds of 65 km/h and gusts of up to 90 km/h.
Civil Protection stated that it is expected to continue its west-northwest trajectory while maintaining its intensity as it moves across the Atlantic.
Sean does not pose any risk to the Yucatan Peninsula, at least not yet.
