Shooting at a flea market in Cancun

On Monday, the 5th, a shooting occurred at the flea market in Supermanzana 233 in the municipality of Benito Juárez, Cancun, Quintana Roo, at around five in the evening, leaving four people injured, who were attended to by medical personnel.

The Secretariat of Public Security reported that individuals allegedly involved in the incident were detained, without providing details about the number of individuals or their identities.

It was reported that the alleged perpetrators had tried to escape in a taxi, but thanks to the C-5 cameras, they were apprehended.

Apparently, a man and a woman were in a critical condition, while two other women were out of danger.

The reasons why the individuals would have carried out the shooting are unknown.
