On Sunday, March 24, a 21-year-old young man was stabbed in the municipality of Progreso after a fight while intoxicated with alcohol.

The events occurred on the corner of 39th and 126th Streets in the port of Progreso, where several patrol cars arrived after a young man was reported lying lifeless in the middle of the street.

The agents and paramedics arrived at the scene, they treated the young man on the sidewalk outside a property, but the victim no longer had vital signs.

It turned out that the alleged aggressor had fled the scene. The Progreso Municipal Police later arrested him, while the relatives of the young victim were waiting at the crime scene for the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo) personnel.
