Xmatkuil Fair comes to an end

Everything that begins has to end, and yesterday the Yucatán Xmatkuil 2023 Fair came to an end, after 23 days of activities, and, curiously, in a similar way to the opening day: with rain.

Thousands of people, coming from various parts of the state and also from other corners of the country, took advantage of the hot Sunday to visit the fair and enjoy the many attractions, enjoy the shows and browse the stalls.

Some came to purchase products at a good price since many people still have the idea that there are last-minute auctions, and they were not entirely wrong, since among so many offers, seven pairs of tins were auctioned off for $50, three pants for $200 or blouses up to $50.

Scenes as common as men or women carrying large pots or blankets could be seen at various points, as well as young people enjoying the now classic trays of prepared snacks.

Maybe because it was Sunday, but people began to arrive early, and by 1:30 in the afternoon, crowds and long lines were already beginning to be seen in certain areas, such as the Coca Cola Castle, which offered 130 presentations throughout the fair. from the musical show “What you didn’t know about… Merlina”.

The Coca-Cola show was one of the main attractions of this edition, which some visitors described as “a little weak” compared to previous years.

But others pointed out that it was good and had everything necessary to spend it with the family.
