On Tuesday November 12th, Cold Front number 12 located on the northwest of the Gulf of Mexico, the day will move over that area towards the Yucatan Peninsula, reports the National Water Commission (Conagua).

The influence of this system will favor a strong North event in the region during the evening, especially in the coastal area, with sustained winds of between 20 and 30 km per hour, and gusts greater than 60 km per hour, so the necessary precautions are recommended for sea navigation.

Waves of up to 3 meters are expected in the shores of Celestún, Sisal and Progreso.

A low pressure channel will bring strong showers (25 to 50mm) in the northern, northeastern and eastern portions of Yucatan, while for the rest of the state rainfall is expected with intervals of showers (5 to 25mm).

Minimum temperatures of 16° Celsius (60 F°) are expected for some parts of the state, with maximum of 30º Celsius (86°F).
