The Fourth Hanal Pixán Gastronomic Festival, organized by the Valladolid Association of Restaurants and Gastronomic Services (Reserva), has concluded.

Thousands of residents of Valladolid and visitors enjoyed the artistic events and the various foods offered.

Carlos Guillermo Aguirre Aguilar, president of Reserva, said that on the last day of activities, costume contests were held, in which children, adults, and even pets participated. Folkloric ballets, musical groups, and local artists performed.

The gastronomic leader reported that during the days that the festival lasted, from Friday the 8th to Sunday the 10th, more than 8,000 treats and salty snacks were served, 5,800 desserts, sweets, candy, and gummies, more than 2,500 bakery products, 1,300 Marquesitas and Esquites, more than 1,000 popsicles, and more than 900 crafts and textiles were sold.

The festival had the presence of live music with the voices of the Libertad group and the Valladolid talent of Limbergh Couoh, and the presentation of folkloric ballets by Grupo Xibalbá, by Felipe Reyes, and Yuumil Beh, by Martín Pérez.

There was also the presentation of other cultural expressions such as flamenco dance by maja, guitar music by independent and bohemian artists, and the voice of singer J. Esteban from Colombia.

The excited parents participated in the costume contests for children and pets, alluding to the theme of the deceased.

The event was crowned with fireworks during the night.

“It was very symbolic for us to have this fourth festival since it reflects the integration of several months of work together with our director Carlos Vázquez, our board, restaurants on the road, entrepreneurs, neighbors, authorities, among others,” he said.

“Today this commitment is fulfilled and we close this festival with great success, the line to overcome now is very high, we will be counting down to develop an even bigger event for next year and in the next few days we will integrate the festival committee with the entire private sector, neighbors and municipal authorities to achieve it,” he concluded.

Finally, Carlos Guillermo Aguirre Aguilar invited restaurants, cafes, and entrepreneurs to join the organization of Restaurants and Gastronomic Services of Valladolid.
