After making his Constitutional Commitment as Governor, Huacho Díaz Mena swore in his cabinet before the people of Yucatán.

Huacho went up to the Central Balcony of the Government Palace, where he sent an emotional message to more than 50 thousand Yucatecans who gathered in the Plaza Grande in the heart of the Yucatecan capital.

Accompanied by his wife Wendy Méndez Naal and his sons Joaquín and Julián, as well as his family, brothers, and parents, he greeted the people and said: “The time has come, October 1st is a new dawn for all Yucatecans. I am Huacho Díaz Mena, the Governor you elected; today I present myself before you, in front of the people who have given me their trust, with my heart overflowing with gratitude, for every one of you. Today more than ever, the doors of the Government Palace will open wide, not only for me but for all the people of Yucatán.”

And he added, “There will never be a hurricane, storm, or accident that will take away my desire to work for the Yucatecans. Today I ask for wisdom and humility to face this great commitment with the best version of myself. I will fulfill the written destiny, and that is why this governor, Huacho Díaz Mena, will not rest a single day the next 6 years until he brings well-being to all the families of Yucatán.”

During the event, which was also attended by Governors, business chambers leaders, unions, media, officials, and representatives of civil society, Huacho Díaz Mena thanked “On behalf of my family, on behalf of all of us, we say; thank you, Yucatán. Let us work together for the Mayan Renaissance. Let us together to bring Yucatán to total well-being. Thank you.”

“Together we entered the Government Palace” he stressed and reiterated his gratitude to the Yucatecan people while inviting them to enter the building with him, as a sign of the closeness he has maintained since he began walking neighborhood by neighborhood, municipality by municipality, community by community in every corner of Yucatan.

The Governor received all the people who accompanied him to this historic event, in the central courtyard of the Government building, where he greeted them and took photos, while the band El Recodo de Cruz Lizárraga sang their greatest hits in a packed Plaza Grande, overflowing with emotion and enthusiasm for the hope of the transformation of Yucatan.
