Woman jumps off bridge but is rescued by police officers in Chabihau, Yucatan

On Thursday, September 19th, a young woman allegedly tried to commit suicide by jumping off the bridge at Playa Marmota, located on the Santa Clara – Chabihau highway in the early hours of the morning

According to TV Azteca, it was residents who notified the Municipal Police of Dzidzantún to come and help the woman, managing to get her out of the water.

In the end, the woman was helped by paramedics and taken to a hospital for medical attention.

The woman jumped off the Playa Marmota bridge on the Santa Clara – Chabihau highway; upset because her partner left her, Virginia A., approximately 35 years old, jumped into the sea.

Fortunately, thanks to the quick action of some citizens and the Dzidzantún police, they managed to rescue her.

When she was taken to the shore of the beach, she was put in the ambulance that took her to the municipal capital and, later, they exchanged with an emergency unit of the Public Security Secretariat to take her to the hospital.
