Agents of the State Investigation Police (PEI) of the Public Security Secretariat (SSP) and ministerial agents of the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), in collaboration with their counterparts from the state of Quintana Roo, arrested today in Yucatan a subject accused of qualified homicide committed in Playa del Carmen.
Alfonso E. V., alias “Diantre”, 26 years old, originally from Villahermosa, Tabasco, and a truck driver by trade, is accused of killing Jorge Enrique U. L., on the 13th of this month in a hotel room inside a Playa del Carmen tourist complex.
According to the investigations, this individual would have hit his victim with a blunt object and against the floor of the room in which they were drinking alcoholic beverages.
After what happened, it is presumed that he tried to evade justice in Quintana Roo by taking refuge in Yucatan, where he was located and arrested by local authorities, who handed him over to their counterparts in Quintana Roo so that they in turn could place him at the disposition of the judge who ordered the arrest.
