Agents of the Municipal Police of Umán found an elderly woman wandering alone on the road towards the Tebec police station.

The woman had been reported missing for a month, so she was taken to her home in the city of Mérida.

The events occurred on Thursday, September 5th around 9 in the morning.

According to the official report, after seeing the elderly woman alone on the Umán-Tebec highway, the officers approached her and took her to the police station, where they gave her food and water.

At the station, the woman said her name was M.L.G., 81 years old, and the officers verified that she had been reported missing for a month.

For this reason, the Uman police chief, Marcos López Obando, ordered that social services be provided to the citizen for transfer to her home, located in San José Vergel, in Mérida, with the support of other SSP units.
