During the national holidays, Quintana Roo is one of the most important tourist destinations in Mexico, with an increase in the influx of both national and foreign tourists.

The state, known for its paradisiacal beaches and first-class hotel infrastructure, is preparing to receive thousands of visitors, which means a significant economic benefit.

According to the Ministry of Tourism (Sectur), the most emblematic destinations in Quintana Roo, such as Cancun and the Riviera Maya, will report hotel occupancy levels close to the maximum during the festivities.

The Riviera Maya is expected to reach 73.6% occupancy in its hotels, while Cancun will reach 71.6%, thus boosting lodging income.

At the state level, the projected figures are impressive. Quintana Roo is expected to generate an economic revenue of 2,767 million pesos from lodging alone, while consumption of tourist services, such as food and recreational activities, will reach 30,394 million pesos.

These revenues not only benefit the tourism sector but also have a direct impact on local families, who will benefit from the economic dynamism generated during these dates.

The Magical Towns of Quintana Roo, such as Isla Mujeres and Cozumel, will also experience high tourist demand. Isla Mujeres projects an occupancy of 61%, while Cozumel will reach 49.9%.

These destinations, known for their natural beauty and rich cultural offerings, attract both national and international tourists, contributing to the diversification of tourism in the state.

Between September 13 and 16, it is estimated that 1 million 192 thousand tourists will arrive in Mexico, of which 77.6% will be national and 22.4% foreign. This mix of visitors helps strengthen the local economy, especially in Quintana Roo, where tourism is one of the most important economic pillars.
