With an investment of more than 40 million pesos, a comprehensive project will be carried out to turn Calderitas into a world-class tourist destination.

The state government, landowners, and merchants participate in this project, who have been demanding this boost for a long time.

This project will benefit 291 inhabitants of the center of Calderitas, 2,811 women and 2,740 men.

To make this plan official, landowners, restaurateurs, and Governor Mara Lezama Espinosa signed an agreement to rehabilitate the public space in the coastal area of Calderitas.

According to the state government, the event was held in the park of Othón P. Blanco. The governor highlighted that this investment reflects a historical commitment to promote the sustainable development and economic growth of Calderitas.

During a tour of the governor and businessmen, it emerged that the image of Calderitas would be renewed, making it more attractive and modern.

“The viewpoints will have Instagrammable elements and a completely renovated appearance to become a model destination in the Mexican Caribbean,” explained Mara Lezama. They will implement a branding strategy.

The Ministry of Public Works participates in this project in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism (Sedetur), the Ministry of Economic Development (Sedfe), and the Institute of Culture and the Arts (ICA). For this reason, Sedetur will offer service providers training and certification courses.
