More than 27 thousand people have visited the Mérida Museum of Light in the last six months
“Six months after its opening, the Mérida Museum of Light has received visits from approximately 27 thousand people, about 50 percent are families and 42 percent are high school students, up to higher academic levels,” said its director, Ricardo Rubiales García Jurado.
He specified that the museum, which belongs to the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), opened its doors on November 1, 2023, and since then has hosted the color exhibition “The Knowledge of the Invisible”, an international exhibition that has visited six important cities in Latin America and closes its trip in Mérida, which will end on August 31.
“It is an exhibition that accompanies us during this first period, and then we will have another series of exhibitions, in this one we wanted to address the issues of the color phenomenon from a scientific perspective, but from sociocultural perspectives, the production of pigments and even technological development and even art,” concluded García Jurado.
