To provide a better service to citizens in the matter of garbage collection, this Monday, August 12th, Mayor Edwin Bojórquez Ramírez, accompanied by authorities from the SANA company, led the official presentation of the new waste collection units for the municipality.
With these new units, not only will the garbage collection service be strengthened, but the number of routes will also be expanded to seven, to the benefit of the families of the municipality.
Mayor Edwin Bojórquez reiterated the importance of an efficient collection service, “because in this way the health of the population is positively impacted.”
During the tour to supervise the three trucks, the mayor urged citizens to continue separating their waste and to be aware that the units can only carry waste generated in homes and not others such as tires, large and dry trees, as well as furniture, among others.
Carlos Hernández Sastre, general manager of operations for the SANA environmental cycle, said that with these three garbage trucks, the route is extended, since now there will be seven trucks that will collect waste 365 days a year.
For his part, Alonso Sansores Bernés, manager of SANA Kanasín, said that each of the trucks can collect 13 to 15 tons of garbage daily.
“On Mondays and Thursdays, the collection is in the center of Kanasín, on Tuesdays and Fridays it is done in the northern part, and on Wednesdays and Saturdays in the southern area,” he concluded.
