A man threatened a teenager after abusing her three times in Tizimín

A man identified as M.A.M.P. was sentenced to more than 36 years in prison after being found guilty of the rape of a minor that occurred in the municipality of Tizimín.

Investigations by the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) indicate that the events occurred during the visits that the victim and the accused made to the aforementioned town where their relatives live.

The sexual assaults were carried out under threat, so the victim’s grandmother came forward to make the report when she discovered the facts.

During the hearing, the evidence was presented, allowing the members of the Second Prosecution Court to grant a conviction by unanimous vote for the crime of rape.

In the individualization of the sentences, it was indicated that the man must spend 36 years, seven months, and 15 days in prison.

In addition, the accused must pay a fine of 200 thousand pesos. He must cover the payment for medical and psychological assistance, he also received a public reprimand, and his political and family rights concerning the victim were suspended.
