Regarding fogging and larval control, it is carried out in the colonies of the Yucatecan capital and municipalities in the tows and cities outside Mérida. Sweeps have already been carried out in strategic areas where an “epidemiological intelligence” task has previously been carried out to know the places where there is a greater presence of mosquitoes.
In a bulletin, he pointed out that a “firm step” has been maintained before the rainy season and there has been the participation of citizens, who have adopted prevention actions.
Despite this shared effort, he emphasized the importance of not letting our guard down, since this will allow us to maintain control of diseases such as dengue, which constitutes a growing public health problem in the region of the Americas and the world.
