Yucatán will host the Smart City Expo Latam Congress for the fifth consecutive year with the participation of more than 300 cities and municipalities from various countries; more than 100 mayors; more than 100 institutions and companies, as well as more than 300 speakers at the Yucatán Siglo XXI Convention Center from July 9 to 11.
In the presentation of this event, which seeks, through leadership and community commitment, for our cities in Latin America to transform into more intelligent and sustainable environments, the head of the General Secretariat of Government (SGG), María Fritz Sierra, indicated that, in Yucatán, we should proud, for the trust and recognition that is placed in hosting this event and for the vision and conviction that the parties involved share, in the purpose of modernization and comprehensive development of the cities.
For his part, Manuel Redondo, president of Pronus, thanked all the support received from the State Government to carry out the last four editions in the state, as well as for the one that will be held soon between July 9 and 11 in this Convention Center with what he said, the Smart City has remained the most important event of urban and territorial transformation in Latin America.
Through a video message, Ricard Zapatero, director of International Business at Fira Barcelona, reiterated the return of this event to state territory for the fifth consecutive time, which, he added, will be an edition that will feature around 300 speakers, as well as the first edition of Tomorrow Mobility, which joins the awards ceremony for the best smart city projects and for which there were more than 160 applications. It should be noted that, in this edition, there will be the “Latam Smart City Awards”, which will recognize companies, universities, governments, research centers, institutions, and entrepreneurs in various categories, such as Latam City, Digital Transformation, Urban Development Sustainable and Mobility, and Equitable and Collaborative Society.
