An investment of 100 million pesos for the opening of three Premium hotels, in the regional culinary art and experience segment, was announced by Yucatecan businessmen, tourist products that will be added to the gastronomic and tourist corridor of 47th Street and the Gran Parque de La Plancha.

The president of the Libera group, Eduardo Triay Espinosa, announced that with the opening of Amate 61 a new era in hospitality in the region begins. What will distinguish these hotels is their commitment to corporate social responsibility and respect for the environment.

By the beginning of 2025, the Amate 50 and 62 hotels are expected to join this initiative, thus completing the triad of unique lodging and gastronomy experiences that Mérida has to offer.

This initiative seeks not only to enrich the region’s tourist offering but also to promote regional culinary experiences, as well as to encourage socially responsible and environmentally friendly business practices.

Triay Espinosa commented that one of the highlights of these hotels will be their focus on the regional culinary experience, each of them will house a signature restaurant that will offer the best of Yucatecan food, complemented by exquisite local mixology creations.

“This commitment to gastronomy will not only delight guests but will also promote the cultural and culinary richness of the region,” he said.

But the experience goes beyond the walls of the hotel, he added, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the charms of Merida through a series of tours designed to immerse them in the authenticity of the city.

From tours of the historic neighborhoods to visits to the emblematic Barrio Mágico de la Ermita, these tours will offer a unique view of the Yucatecan capital, thus enriching the tourist experience.

“In addition to offering a new standard of luxury accommodation, these projects represent a joint effort to boost premium tourism in the region. With a combination of innovation, tradition, and commitment to sustainability, Mérida’s premium hotels are ready to mark a new chapter in the history of tourism in Yucatán,” he concluded.
