Yucatán is once again recognized as the safest state in Mexico

Yucatán achieves it once again and reaffirms itself as the safest state in the entire country by placing itself in first place with the lowest crime incidence of 57.58 crimes per 100 thousand inhabitants, as a result of the teamwork promoted by the state government to maintain the climate of peace and tranquility that characterizes the state.

According to the crime incidence report corresponding to April from the Executive Secretariat of the National Public Security System (SESNSP), the entity stood out for its results with a figure that is nine times lower than that registered at the national level of 533.59 crimes. , thus reiterating Yucatán as the state with the best safety indexes in the entire country.

The report also highlights that the entity occupied the first place in terms of the lowest rate of intentional homicides with 0.60 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants, resulting in a rate 10 times lower than the national rate of 6.29 cases, as well as in the category of lower theft rate per vehicle with 0.68 cases, achieving a rate significantly lower than the national rate of 22.57 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants.

Likewise, Sesnp highlights that the state reached first place with the lowest number of extortion cases per 100 thousand inhabitants nationwide by registering ZERO cases.

On the other hand, Yucatan was positioned in second place with the lowest rate of home burglary with 0.93 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants, being the historical minimum in the first four months of the current year, reaching a rate below the national average. which was 12.06 crimes of this kind.

Likewise, it ranked third with the lowest rate of robbery against pedestrians, registering 0.32 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants, setting another historical minimum record for the state in the first four months, thus achieving a rate below the national average of 16.28 crimes.

Finally, it is reported that Yucatán was among the first four places in the entire Mexican Republic with the lowest rate of femicides with a rate of 0.16 cases per 100 thousand women, being lower than the national rate of 0.36 cases.

The highly positive results in terms of security are a consequence of the security policy led by the state government through actions and schemes such as Yucatán Seguro, with which the police are being provided with equipment, technology, and strong training to go from 2,248 cameras at 6,775 and 100 road arches at 219.

As part of these efforts, the C5i was created, which added the modern Bell 429 helicopter, considered the best equipped of its type in all of Latin America, as well as fast boats for the ports.
