This Saturday, May 11, the Va-y-Ven public transport project begins operations in Valladolid. As announced, it will provide free service on its two routes for two weeks, one transversal and the other a circuit, while the prices that will be charged to users are analyzed.
The staff of the Mobility Institute of the State government presented the project to businessmen who were given a ride aboard the buses along the two routes and were shown what the project consisted of.
Jesús Miranda Rosado, president of Coparmex, stated that the Mobility staff of the state government explained to the local business community that there will be ten modern buses for one route, and six for another.
In addition, there will be two others that will be ready to operate in case some of the first ones break down so there will be 18 trucks that will be brought to this city.
They announced that each stop has a distance of no more than 500 meters from each other, and the frequency of arrival of the trucks at each stop will be up to 15 minutes.
In this way, users will not wait long for their bus to take them to their destination.
The payment system will be through cards that can be purchased at convenience stores. At the same time, it is being promoted to see if any of the local businessmen are interested in selling it in their businesses.
To begin with, two weeks of free service will be given, during which time users become familiar with the new service.
As for the buses, it was reported that they will be completely modern and will have capacity for 70 people, 45 seated and the rest can travel standing.
Priority will be given to people with different abilities, pregnant women, and older adults. The bus will have a space to load bicycles so that users who travel with these vehicles and want to board can do so without problem.
Also, the onboard step can be lowered to a height suitable for people, so that it is comfortable for users.
