With the presentation of 48 dance groups, this Friday, May 24th, the third edition of the “Dance Festival of Southern Mexico” began, which will take place from May 24 to 26, 2024 in Chetumal.
The headquarters of the third edition of the “Dance Festival of Southern Mexico” is the Open Air Theater of the Social Security Center of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) and the Callejón del Arte, in the Center of the capital of the State.
The Dance Festival of Southern Mexico” is intended to commemorate “International Dance Day”, celebrated last April 29 and which has been celebrated every year since 1982, as an initiative of the international dance committee and proclaimed by the Organization of the United Nations for Education, Science, and Culture as an international day.
More than 30 dance companies will perform during the weekend in the state capital of Quintana Roo.
