During the early morning and part of the morning of this Tuesday, federal security forces executed a search warrant in a home in the Las Américas subdivision in search of drugs.

The information collected indicates that the search warrant was issued by a federal judge, so it was the Attorney General’s Office (FGR), that led the operation in which military personnel and the Yucatan state police were included.

The search began in the early hours of the morning and lasted until Tuesday’s noon.

As part of the operation, federal forces blocked 57th Street between 104 and 108-A of the Las Américas subdivision. They entered the house with K-9 units and allegedly seized more than 10 kilos of natural and synthetic drugs. It was said that a person named José, nicknamed “El Iguano,” was detained in the house.

At the end of the operation, the authorities left the house but it was not secured by the police, although the reason for this situation is unknown.
