On Tuesday, May 28th, more than 300 teachers from different municipalities across the state demonstrated peacefully at the Yucatan Ministry of Education (Segey) facilities in demand of the salary increase that has not been made for education personnel since last year.

The director of the “Raquel Dzib Cicero” school, Víctor Manuel Enriques Cabrera, highlighted that they claim an 11 percent salary increase, as well as a response for the delivery of job positions that have been managed politically.

“We have been negotiating this increase and seeing that many things that are being handled in the Secretariat are not by the protocols that we know, for example: we know that those who are brigading for the party because Vidal belongs Aguilar are the ones who are being given the positions when they are not even two years old,” he indicated.

More than 5,000 teachers throughout the state are waiting to receive a position, as well as in the fight for a salary increase, in which they trust that it can be carried out at the state level or at least receive the support of representatives at the state level. front to allege about their situation.
