Man arrested for sexual abuse in Mexico City Chapultepec Park

A woman was sexually abused by a man in Chapultepec Forest; The subject was arrested.

A 32-year-old woman was sexually abused by a man who forced her to enter the Bosque de Chapultepec, in the Miguel Hidalgo District of Mexico City, reported the Secretariat of Citizen Security of the CDMX.

In a statement, the SSC indicated that agents of the police corporation detained the 40-year-old man, who was identified as the probable responsible for sexually abusing the woman.

The woman asked for help through the My Police application

The victim told the security elements that she was walking along Paseo de la Reforma when a man, who was traveling on a bicycle, approached her and started talking to her. The man became aggressive and forced her to enter the park, where she touched him and sexually assaulted her. However, during the struggle she was able to take out her cell phone and ask for support through the My Police application.

When alerted by the radio frequency, the officers went to Chapultepec Park, near the Gandhi statue, where they found a man and a woman struggling on the grass. Upon approaching, the woman said that she had been sexually abused, so the man was immediately arrested.

The police officers protected the victim, while they requested the arrival of an ambulance to treat her and paramedics from the Rescue and Medical Emergency Squadron (ERUM) who arrived at the scene assessed the victim and diagnosed her with a nervous breakdown.

The possible person responsible for the attack was read his legal rights, and he was transferred to the corresponding Public Ministry agent, who will determine his legal situation.
