What seemed like a calm meeting became somewhat rough, heated, and with complaints to those in charge of the work of the bridge at the Citilcum community, on the afternoon of Wednesday, May 15.
Residents of Citilcum were summoned to deliver the depressed passage in the presence of those responsible for the work of the Maya Train, FONATUR, and the Asvindi company. However, those summoned decided “not to accept” the work, because it is unfinished and it will not be until May 20 that it will come into operation.
The meeting quickly escalated, because when those present asked what was going to happen with the paving of the community’s streets, the representatives could not give an answer, and a wave of complaints was unleashed, which included the relocation of the school.
“This bridge looks like it is going to fall down, and I am not willing to bury a son or a grandson, for a crappy construction built by a crappy federal government, because this train is like a toy for president AMLO, he doesn’t care about the people or the promises made” said one of the protesters.
The people of Citilcum stated that they would block the Maya Train track on Thursday, May 16, if they did not have answers to their demands.
