Yucatán demands that the federal government lower electricity rates in Yucatán and that the CFE invest in more crews and maintenance of the peninsular distribution network.

Due to the unsustainable and unfair consequences of the blackouts that are suffered every day in colonies, police stations and municipalities of the state affecting Yucatecan families, the gubernatorial candidate for the PAN, PRI and Nueva Alianza, Renán Barrera Concha, emphasized that Morena has ignored and covered up the serious deficiencies of the Federal Electricity Commission (CFE), which has resulted in poor electrical service and to the detriment of thousands of families.

“Morena covers up and covers up the serious deficiencies of the CFE that harm Yucatecans, and despite the constant complaints from usurers that are issued every day, there are no answers,” he said.

Barrera Concha reiterated his solidarity with this cause that gives voice to the Yucatecans, indicating that it is urgent to address the lack of maintenance and investment in the state’s electrical infrastructure, since these are the main triggers of the blackouts that leave everyone without light. the state.

In addition, Barrera Concha added that he also calls for electricity rates to be reduced in the state, since Yucatecans, in the face of the extreme climate that characterizes the entire peninsula, unfairly pay higher rates compared to other regions. of the country, which adds an additional burden to local families and businesses already suffering from constant power outages.

“It is vital that the CFE invests in more crews and in the proper maintenance of the peninsular distribution network,” he added.

Likewise, he pointed out that it is essential that the CFE assumes its responsibility and takes concrete actions to improve the situation. Among the urgent measures, he referred to an investment in new maintenance crews and a thorough review of the distribution network to identify and correct failures before they cause more blackouts.
