Candidate Alessandra Rojo de la Vega denounces shooting attack

Alessandra Rojo de la Vega is 37 years old, she is a former local representative of the Green Ecologist Party of Mexico (PVEM) and has a degree in Communication Sciences from the Universidad Iberoamericana and also has a degree in Law from the Universidad Jurídica del Sureste.

She served as part of former President Enrique Peña Nieto’s social media team.

She is also the founder of the organization Movimiento Unidos por la Infancia (MUI México), “No es una Somos Todos, focused on the preservation of the rights of girls, young people and adults, and of Mass Media, a firm dedicated to offering communication solutions for the government and the private sector.

On Sunday, May 12th, the opposition candidate for mayor of Cuauhtémoc in CDMX, Alessandra Rojo, reported gunshots fired at her vehicle while she was driving.

The PAN, PRI and PRD candidate for mayor of Cuauhtémoc, Alessandra Rojo de la Vega, reported on her social networks that the truck in which she was traveling was shot several times.

In her X account she wrote: “We will report this attack, they want to silence me.”

The message was spread this Saturday night with four photographs of a black vehicle with several holes in the doors, glass and body.

On social networks, the national leader of the PRI, Alejandro Moreno, reported that Alessandra was unharmed by these events.
