Young motorcyclist dies in Umán-Muna hit by a truck

On Thursday, April 25th, a motorcyclist lost his life when he was hit this by a truck while traveling on kilometer 30 of the Umán-Muna highway.

José “N”, 26 years old, was traveling on the aforementioned road heading to Mérida when a Nissan truck, driven by Tarsicio “N”, invaded the lane and ran over him.

Due to the impact, the occupant of the two-wheeled vehicle was thrown several meters and ended up lying on the pavement.

According to witnesses to the accident, the boy died instantly.

The driver, upon seeing what happened, got out to check the victim’s condition and notified the rescue teams, but finally, the police and paramedics could do nothing to save the motorcyclist’s life.

The stretch of road was closed for a long time while the corresponding investigations were carried out.

Agents of the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo) removed the body for legal proceedings.
