Two arrested for theft of vehicle computers in Mérida

Officers of the Yucatan State Investigative Police (PEI) of the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP), in coordination with the State Attorney General’s Office (FGE), arrested two subjects, allegedly responsible for the theft of motor vehicle computers.

Their names are Mario Alejandro A. V., 29 years old, a hairdresser by trade, and Luis Genaro S. R., 48 years old, an automotive mechanic, both originally from the State of Mexico.

The evidence obtained during the investigations supports their probable responsibility for the crime of qualified robbery, for which a control judge issued the arrest warrants.

The events occurred on February 22 in a parking lot of the Mérida City Hall, downtown Merida, where the accused would have seized the computers of three vehicles.
